Dr. Minardi has revolutionized this classic technique by creating an intensive, scientific and practical course like no one on the planet has ever done. Over fifty years ago, the classic Thompson Technique was first unveiled by Clay Thompson.
This seminar will encompass all elements of the original technique and expand the teaching where Clay could not, due to the science limitations of his era.
Several new aspects have been incorporated into this classic technique by Dr. Minardi, filling in any gaps that may have existed, as well as incorporating all of the neurology and biomechanics that has never existed before.
This innovative Technique Program explains each step in depth, using the latest research in the fields of biomechanics and neurology for greater understanding.
The Seminar prides itself with intensive hands-on participation, ensuring the doctor will be able to confidently use the material in an office setting immediately. Those familiar with Thompson will learn more than they ever thought possible. Those new to drop piece work will be taken from step one and accelerated at a comfortable pace to learn all material presented.
Dr. John Minardi earned a Bachelor of Human Kinetics Degree, Honours Movement Science, from the University of Windsor, and a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College.
Dr. Minardi is the creator, founder and head instructor of The Complete Thompson Technique Seminar Series-Minardi Integrated Systems, and author of The Complete Thompson Textbook – Minardi Integrated Systems, the most extensive seminar series and textbook ever created for Drop Piece technique.
In addition, Dr. Minardi’s primary interest has been to understand the Neurology of the VSC. Dr. John brings a unique blend of passion, intensity, and excellent teaching skills in order to explain, in a practical manner, the VSC’s segmental and global neurological effects that occur in the body.
In 2011, Dr. Minardi was named “Chiropractor of the Year” an honor awarded to him by Parker Chiropractic Seminars. In 2018. the honor was bestowed upon Dr. Minardi again, by the Alliance for Chiropractors of Ontario.

Course Information
The weekend (Module 1) covers the full spine analysis and adjustments used in the classic Thompson Technique, several modified adjustments and the additional Neurology, Biomechanics and Research that has been incorporated by Dr. Minardi.
This ensures that the doctor not only understands how to perform the classic protocol, but also understands the reasons why, based in science. These were added to advance the overall body of work, and to increase the scientific certainty of the practicing doctor.
