Seminar topics revolve around assessment and treatment of aberrant sensory receptors and upregulated/facilitated neuro-muscular reflexes. Sensory receptors of the feet, hands, mouth, eyes, the primal reflexes, startle /withdrawal reflexes and local muscle and joint protective reflexes.
The very same sensory receptors and protective reflexes that we learned about in 1st year neurophysiology, but were never taught how to treat.
Understanding how aberrant receptors and reflexes effect the equilibrium between the trigeminal sympathetic system and the vagal parasympathetic system.
How aberrant receptors and reflexes affect the dural system.
How stress perniciously upregulates the neuromuscular system compromising function and sensation.
The diaphragm as the functional core of the gait mechanism and the local to global consequences of diaphragm dysfunction.
The entire locomotor system: How aberrant receptors and reflexes effect the soft tissues of the head, TMJ, neck, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, trunk, pelvis, knee, ankle and foot.
A brief discussion of the lymphatic system.
